Day Center Updates
Great News!!!
The Federal Way City Council awarded $100,000 for operating costs. The check was delivered on October 29, 2015, at the Assembly at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Center.
The lease for the building was signed on January 29th, 2016. The owner is in process of requesting approval of building permit to rehab the facility.
Collected as of 5/19/2016 from the community, for rehab of an existing facility: $62,989.69 (includes the $2,000 from CCS grant).
On 2/16/2016, King County Executive Constantine announced a grant of $40,000 to Catholic Community Services for the Federal Way Day Center. The money is provided through document recording fees and was part of a $280,000 set of grants for shelter and services outside of the City of Seattle.

And Not So Great News!!! One-Night Homeless Count on January 29, 2016, increased by 150% over 2015. We counted 263 on streets with an additional 35 in night shelters.
